International newcomer Kimbra will release the US version of her debut album Vows for Warner Bros. Records on May 22, 2012. Vows features several brand new songs in addition to tracks from the platinum-certified Australian edition of the album.
Released in Australia in August 2011, Vows has earned Kimbra a "one to watch" rave fromRolling Stone Australia, won her the ARIA (Australian Grammy) for Best Female Artist and spawned three hit singles. These tracks, "Good Intent," "Cameo Lover," and "Settle Down," are also included on the US edition of Vows. Kimbra recorded additional tracks for the release in Los Angeles, CA with such producers and songwriters as Mike Elizondo and Greg Kurstin.
Originating from Hamilton, New Zealand, Kimbra has been performing her jazz-inflected pop since she was 14. Kimbra’s haunting vocals and impassioned delivery on the Gotye track "Somebody That I Used to Know" have helped propel it to an international hit: the video for the song has over 99 million views and is at the top of the US radio charts.

March 5, 2012 — (Burbank, CA) — Warner Bros. Records punk/pop artist MATT TOKA has just announced a pair of extensive domestic tours. The first is with Breathe Carolina plus label mate The Ready Set and will kick off in Columbia, MO on Mar 21st and end in Bloomington, IL on April 27th. Then starting on June 16th in Salt Lake City, UT, Toka will join the entire Vans Warped Tour, which will snake its way across the country and close in Portland, OR on Aug 5th.
Additionally, one new show has just been confirmed for Saturday, May 19, at The Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ with The Foo Fighters, Blink 182 and many more. For further info go to:http://2012.thebamboozle.com
Toka promises to bring a bit of his own live mayhem to the youth of America this summer. If you’ve yet to see Matt and band play live, get ready for a jolt of melodic rock action. In between all this tour madness, Toka will be back in LA for a special Vans Warped Tour kick-off party and press conference at Club Nokia Live on Mar 29th. For further info, click here.
Toka has been recording his Warner Bros. Records debut album with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, etc.), which is expected to be released later this year. As previously mentioned, his YouTube video presence is growing fast. If you’ve yet to view them, here they are: "666" and "Ode to My Family". His homemade videos are equally fun viewing as well: "Someone Like You," (yes, the Adele song) "Paradise," (Coldplay cover) and a newly filmed frantic live version of "Say10" have racked up views in excess of 400,000 and counting in 2012 alone.

San Diego, CA’s Pierce The Veil heads into the studio to record their new album, set for a summer release.

In a special message to fans, singer Vic Fuentes reveals a few details about the new release. "Hey everyone, Vic here to announce that we are taking it to the East Coast to work on a brand new album! We’ve teamed up with 2 extremely talented producers, Dan Korneff and Kato Khandwala at the House Of Loud in Elmwood Park, New Jersey and things are well underway. I can’t even describe how nice it has been to be around people that are just as ambitious and excited about making music as we are. We are going into this thing with no creative boundaries and writing songs that are completely driven by our emotions. Every lyric and every guitar part needs to convey a certain feeling so that when it is all said and done, the memories and the passion that we had while making this album will come out on stage each time we play them live. Can’t wait for you to hear! Check www.PierceTheVeil.net for studio updates. Love ya! -Vic"
Their third full-length, the release was tipped by Alternative Press in their run down of the Most Anticipated Music of 2012. The album is the follow-up the Equal Vision release Selfish Machines, which debuted at #1 on Billboard Heatseeker’s Chart. The band recently was featured on Punk Goes Pop 4 for their electrifying cover of Bruno Mars’ "Just The Way You Are".
PIERCE THE VEIL – Vic Fuentes (Vocals), Tony Perry (Guitar), Jaime Preciado (Bass), Mike Fuentes (Drums) – With a unique brand of progressive post-hardcore, Pierce The Veil have captivated audiences around the globe. The band has toured with the likes of A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Thursday, The Devil Wears Prada, Four Year Strong, and Breathe Carolina, as well as appearing on Vans Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos. Stay tuned for new tour and album updates in the coming weeks!

Los Angeles, CA – With excitement rapidly mounting into a frenzy for their new album, pop-punk four-piece JOYCE MANOR have premiered the first single, "Violent Inside" from their upcoming album Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired on AltPress.com alongside an exclusive interview with singer/guitarist Barry Johnson. The stream and interview can be seen at: http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/joyce_manor_interview_violent_inside_song_premiere.
The pre-order, which went up on Tuesday, had so many fans clamoring for the new record at once that they crashed the website! It’s now back up and pre-orders can be made at http://www.asianmanrecords.com/basket/ofallthings.html. The first pressing is limited to 1500 copies, with 500 each on black, white and blue and special pre-order bundles available via Asian Man Records. Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired will be released on April 17, 2012. It was recorded with Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studios in Palo Alto, California.
Joyce Manor have also announced an April East Coast and Midwest tour supporting Andrew Jackson Jihad in addition to their March West Coast tour (all dates below). Critical acclaim for the band and their self-titled debut album reached fever-pitch in 2011, making them one of the most buzzed-about bands of the year. LA Weekly singled out Joyce Manor as "one of the most promising bands" in LA, while Absolutepunk hailed them by saying, "Joyce Manor have become the poster child for the young band that does everything right." Alternative Press called their debut a "sprightly, enjoyable record," and Bring On Mixed Reviews commented, "It’s rare that a band gets it this right with their first effort," while Decoy Music claims "Joyce Manor is one of a few bands to do their forefathers proud." PerhapsPunknews put it best and most simply though, when bestowing upon the band the honor of Album of the Year, that "Joyce Manor is everyone’s favorite new artist. Those who disagree are clearly lying."
Not bad for four guys who describe themselves as having a "taste for bad Chinese food, Thin Lizzy guitar solos, and calling ‘shotgun’." Says bassist Matt Ebert, "Putting out your second record can be kind of scary and a lot of people will listen to it with certain expectations, but we are proud of what we came up with."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 20, 2012
“The Revival Tour was one of the more interesting group outings on the fringes of punk last year… the vitality of this tour is in the camaraderie–everyone takes turns up front and in support of one another, and the group pairings often make for some unexpectedly moving collaborations.” – Los Angeles Times
“In traditional revival fashion, once the music starts this new guard of young, genre-defying, musicians keep it rolling, teaming in and out through each other’s sets until the final farewell of the night.” – BrooklynVegan
In addition to the recently announced initial dates, more shows have been added to The Revival Tour 2012, including much-anticipated West Coast dates. Created and organized by Americana singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan, this year’s incarnation begins its fifth year with a company of amazing storytellers in Ragan, Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio, The Emergency Room), longtime Lucero collaborator Cory Branan, Tommy Gabel (Against Me!), and renowned singer/songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff. Sponsored by Daytrotter, Paste Magazine, Ernie Ball and Brixton Clothing, The Revival Tour was birthed from the rich folk tradition of giving and openness and propelled by an innate need to tell a story in its naked acoustic state (tour dates below). Tickets are now available at www.therevivaltourtix.com, with special presale packages (details on the site).
The critically-hailed tour has hosted Avail’s Tim Barry, Lucero’s Ben Nichols, Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, Jenny Owen Youngs, Sparta’s Jim Ward, 7 Seconds’ Kevin Seconds, Audra Mae, The Loved Ones’ Dave Hause, and Frank Turner among many other diverse and exciting collaborators. Phoenix New Times called it "punk rock’s answer to the Traveling Wilburys – a super group of singers from established bands who’ve come together to have some fun." Orlando Weekly praised "the night was warm with spirit and fellowship, like friends gathered in a garage or on a porch instead of a stage… By the end of the show, seven players (mostly expats of punk) were on stage together, demonstrating a top-shelf sampling of the new country underground."
Conceptualized in 2005 and coming to fruition in 2008 with the inaugural lineup of Ragan, Tim Barry (Avail), Ben Nichols (Lucero), the tour spanned 57 days playing a total of mind-numbing 52 shows. 2010 saw The Revival Tour across Australia and crossed the Atlantic in 2011 and darted across UK, Ireland, and Europe, playing mostly sold out shows in 1,500 to 2,000 capacity venues. 2012’s tour will hit over 33 major markets throughout the U.S. and Canada, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Nashville.

NEW YORK, NY – Riding on a crest of overwhelmingly glowing press on both sides of the Atlantic (and elsewhere as well!), UK-based electro-punk-rockers ENTER SHIKARI are gearing up for an extensive North American tour that will posit them in Atlanta on April 1st and circle the US for six weeks. Unlike the current trend in Stateside touring of piling multiple bands into compact packages, Enter Shikari instead are taking a much more generous and fair approach and taking only two other bands, Letlive and At the Skylines, along for the ride.
"The more eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that this tour is made up of a three-band-bill. Believe us, this is deliberate," said the band in a combined statement. "It has long been the belief in Enter Shikari camp that North American audiences have been trained, like customers at a bad diner, to believe that a large full plate makes up for tasteless food. While nobody here thinks that one tour will reverse the trend, we’re at least going to give it a go. Instead of cramming what they have to say into 25 minute sets with ten minutes on either side to get their gear on and offstage, each band will be given time to spread their wings, safe in the knowledge that all their onstage ducks are in line."
Titled appropriately enough A FLASH FLOOD OF COLOUR NORTH AMERICAN TOUR 2012 after their album of the same name, this tour makes the first time North American audiences will witness Enter Shikari play a full set in the style that has taken them to selling out 5,000 capacity rooms in the UK (the band’s last US jaunt was in November 2010). Hopefully strapped in for the frenzied and frenetic experience, it’s safe to say that the continent better be prepared for a doozy. With the continents’ media and press battling it out for who can say more positive things about the album, the public at large have responded in kind. A Flash Flood of Colour debuted on UK’s Official Album Chart at #1 and their corresponding tour is on its way to sell out over 18,000 tickets across only six shows in advance of its March 17th kick off. Over here in the US, the album debuted at #4 Top Rock Albums (#42 overall albums) on iTunes and was voted by Alternative Press as"Most Anticipated" and made good on that promise by landing a 4.5 stars (out of five), eliciting the praise, "it’s a musically adventurous (and surprisingly catchy) album, but the real reason to listen to it is to let Reynolds stimulate your sense beyond the mosh pit." Not to be outdone, UK’s music tome NME hailed, "This rage against the machine could well be the four-piece’s defining statement." SPIN likened the album as "If the Streets’ Mike Skinner chugged drugs at a rave and tried to save the world with metal.”
Co-produced by the band and Dan Weller (Young Guns, Gallows) in Bang Saray, Thailand and London, England during May/June 2011, and mixed in Vancouver, Canada by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica, Biffy Clyro), A Flash Flood Of Colour is Enter Shikari’s follow-up to 2009’s acclaimed Common Dreads. An incandescent snapshot of the modern age – of globalization and recession, repression and protest, commerce and control, activism and engagement – it’s music for a newly jolted generation, a soundtrack for the mosh-pit, the dance floor and the front lines.
Enter Shikari is Rou Reynolds (vocals / electronics), Rory Clewlow (guitar / backing vocals), Chris Batten (bass / vocals), and Rob Rolfe (drums). A Flash Flood of Colour was released on January 17, 2012 via Hopeless Records.

FEB 16 – Tampa, FL-based band TALLHART has signed to Equal Vision Records. The indie rock quartet is also the first band signed to Rory Records – the newly launched EVR imprint label of Say Anything frontman Max Bemis.
TALLHART (previously known as Marksmen) will release their Equal Vision Records/Rory Records debut EP in Spring 2012. The album was recorded in Tampa, FL with Bemis, Tim McTague (of Underoath), and Dean Tidey (of Feeder) serving as producers.
Leading the EP will be the track “Fever (Sister Of Mine)”, which will be released on March 6th as a digital single. This album will be the follow-up to two previous self-releases put out under the name Marksmen, The Blue and Grey EP (2010) and their full-length albumSister of Mine (2011).
“They are TALLHART. A brilliant young band from Tampa who can write a stadium rock-level anthem like nobody’s business but don’t shy away from lovely, dense songwriting. They also put on a sickeningly great live show,” Bemis expounds. “To me, they combine the best elements of early U2, Manchester Orchestra and sort of a young Pearl Jam (that last one is a pretty weird call, but I stand by it): basically, smart and brave music, rich with a swelling, unfiltered feeling. I’ll be working closely with them on many aspects of their music and the record, and am extremely excited for the release of their EVR/Rory Records debut EP.”
TALLHART vocalist Matt Segallos reflects on the new partnership stating, “I feel like EVR has put out genre defining records over the years…so for them to want to work with us is exciting to say the least…and once things became clear that EVR was ready to make this happen, it was cool to see that Max was really on our side.”
He continues, “I just really feel like it’s rare for someone of his standing to really fight for an up and coming band because he believes in the music so much. It wasn’t like we were long time friends so he threw us a bone he just genuinely wanted to help us take the next step. I’m always thrilled to work with someone like that. Plus, everyone knows how creative Max is; to have him involved in our work is a real pleasure.”
Guitarist Chris Brickman, drummer Reed Murray and bassist Glenn Espinoza collectively create a perfectly balanced musical framework that showcases Segallos’ potent mix of lyrical musings on the light and dark sides of life, love, and spirituality – all delivered through his distinctly soulful, and subtly southern, croons. Through rich guitar tones and pure lyrical eloquence, one can simply feel the sincerity and depth of the band’s emotionally charged music.
The band was named one of Tampa’s “2011 Ultimate Local Artists” by the Tampa Bay Tribune/ St. Pete Times and has shared stages with the diverse likes of Anberlin, Underoath, Panic! At The Disco, Paper Tongues, Rooney, AWOLNATION and more.
